The Austin Golf Association (AGA) is the oldest and largest public golf association in Central Texas. It is a social organization whose sole objective is to hold tournaments for its members in the Austin area. The AGA provides a friendly golf environment for all-level of competitive players who enjoy friendly competition with other players of similar abilities regardless of gender or age. 

 

We have players of all skill levels (men and women) from scratch golfers to 30+ handicaps. The AGA was started about 1940, and originally had only one tournament each year. Currently, we have over 280 members and play a tournament every other week except the month of January and December.

 

Tournaments are flighted by handicap and played under USGA rules.  Awarding over $2000 dollars in most tournaments

Membership includes a WHS GHIN handicap index which is accepted at most tournaments played outside the AGA.

Annual Dues
Our tournament season runs from January through December.  Dues for a full season are $64. Junior family members (under 18 years old) may join for free.

 

New members who join in November or December pay for the next season but get to play in any remaining tournaments in the current season.  Members from the previous season are allowed to play as members through February 15.  This means a new member joining in November would get over 14 months.

 

Members are required to have competed in 3 tournaments before being allowed to play in games or have an active GHIN

 

Guests are allowed to play in two tournaments each season before joining. Guests are not allowed to play in net competition without a current GHIN.
